Paulo Sugarcane Notebook
Description
The Paulo Sugarcane Notebook is an A5 hard cover notebook made from 80% sugarcane waste, part of the Impact Aware Collection. The hard cover features a contrasting rPET trim on the spine, and the 80 lined 90gsm natural pages (160 pages) are also made from sugarcane paper.
As sugarcane paper is produced from natural agricultural waste, the cover and pages may show slight variations in texture and colour between notebooks. Branding options include pad print and screen print on the front and back cover. The notebook has plastic-free packaging and is loose packed.

Branding Options
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer artwork onto the sugarcane paper cover. Suitable for sharp logos and text on smaller branding areas. Two branding areas are available: 55mm x 55mm or 65mm x 35mm on the front or back cover. Each colour in the artwork requires its own setup charge and variable data such as individual names is not available. PMS matching can be less predictable on the natural sugarcane surface than on a standard PU cover, as the texture and natural tone of the paper affects how ink colours appear. Bolder and darker brand colours tend to give the clearest result.
Screen printing forces ink through a fine mesh screen directly onto the sugarcane paper cover. Suitable for simple logos, text and bold spot-colour artwork, and not recommended for gradients, photos or full-colour designs. One-colour branding only. The branding area of 85mm x 185mm covers most of the front or back cover, making it a strong option when a bold, full-height logo is needed. The natural surface gives screen-printed artwork a slightly organic feel compared to a standard PU cover.
Materials and Natural Variations
The Paulo Sugarcane Notebook cover and pages are both made from 80% sugarcane waste, a byproduct of sugar production that would otherwise go unused. The contrasting spine trim is rPET recycled plastic. As sugarcane paper is produced from natural agricultural waste, the cover and pages may show slight variations in texture, tone and colour between individual notebooks. This is a natural characteristic of the material and not a defect. Because the surface is natural rather than coated, it also affects how branding colours reproduce, which is worth factoring in when preparing artwork. The notebook has plastic-free packaging throughout.

Impact Aware
Impact Aware highlights products selected for a lower-impact profile. Each item in the range meets at least one of three criteria—using recycled inputs, drawing on natural materials, or partnering with brands that return value to people or the planet. You’ll also see an Impact Aware icon on the main product image, making it easy to spot eligible items at a glance.
Made with Recycled Materials
These products repurpose existing resources—such as recycled plastics, paper, fabric, or metals—to reduce demand for virgin material and extend the life of what already exists. Examples across the range include RPET and recycled stainless components, as noted on individual product pages.
Made with Natural Materials
Items in this pillar prioritise renewable inputs like cotton, jute, bamboo, or paper. They’re chosen for everyday practicality while leaning on materials that come from nature and can be renewed. Product specs identify the natural material used for each item.
Brands that Give Back
This pillar features products from partner brands that embed giving—supporting communities, causes, or environmental programmes—into how they operate. When a product falls under this pillar, it’s clearly indicated in its specifications.
