The Moleskine Volant Journal - Large is a large A5 custom branded journal with a soft PP cover, rounded corners and rounded page edges. It includes 96 leaves, giving 192 lined ivory pages made from 70gsm acid-free paper from certified and controlled sources.
Every page is detachable, making it easy to remove and share notes. The journal also includes a front endpaper with an “In case of loss” notice, the Moleskine history insert and a page of adhesive flags. An optional full-colour paper belly band is available, and the Moleskine logo remains on the product.

Pad Print: Inside cover branding is available, with the print area confirmed by the supplier template. Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer artwork onto the product surface and suits sharp logos and text on smaller branding areas. Each colour has its own setup charge, and variable data is not available.
Debossing: Front and back cover branding area is 100mm x 90mm. Debossing uses heat and pressure to press artwork into the soft PP cover, creating a permanent recessed impression that becomes part of the surface. It works best with simple logos, wordmarks and clean artwork. Fine detail, gradients and variable data are not suitable.
Debossing XL: Front and back cover branding area is 100mm x 180mm. Debossing XL uses the same heat and pressure process as standard Debossing but provides a larger area for simple artwork needing a bigger cover impression. The result can be subtle, so bold shapes, clear text and simple artwork are recommended.
Foil Printing: Front cover branding area is 70mm x 55mm. Foil Printing applies metallic foil using heat and pressure, creating a decorative finish with higher perceived value than standard ink branding. It suits simple logos, initials, icons and clean artwork. Very fine lines and small text should be avoided.

Individual names can also be added to the belly band at an additional charge, making it useful for personalised notebooks, event packs or client gifts.
Belly Band Artwork Requirements
Artwork can be supplied in vector or bitmap format. Bitmap artwork should be over 300DPI at actual print size, and a 3mm bleed should be added when the artwork runs off the edge of the belly band. Metallic, neon and fluorescent colours are not available, and dark stock should be avoided because white ink cannot be printed underneath the artwork.
