Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer artwork onto the kraft cardboard cover. Suitable for sharp logos and text on smaller branding areas. Two branding areas are available: 55mm x 55mm or 65mm x 35mm on the front cover. Each colour requires its own setup charge and variable data such as individual names is not available. The natural kraft surface affects how PMS colours reproduce, and darker artwork colours tend to show more clearly against the natural surface.
Screen printing forces ink through a fine mesh screen directly onto the kraft cardboard cover. Suitable for simple logos, text and bold spot-colour artwork, and not recommended for gradients, photos or full-colour designs. One-colour branding only. The branding area of 100mm x 165mm covers most of the front cover, making it a strong option for large-format artwork on the natural kraft surface. As with pad printing, darker inks give the clearest contrast against the kraft background. Light inks such as white or pale colours may not stand out as clearly.
