The SPICE Calypso is a 750ml drink bottle made from 100% recycled soda-lime glass with GRS certification, finished with a screw-on bamboo lid. SPICE build their products around lowering their impact on the planet, and this bottle is carbon neutral to the point of delivery. Glass holds no flavour of its own, which makes it a clean and reusable alternative to plastic. Because bamboo is a natural material, the grain and colour vary from lid to lid.
Its recycled glass and the SPICE ethos together place the Calypso in the Impact Aware collection. The glass takes imitation etch or pad print, and the bamboo lid can be laser engraved. The Calypso is BPA-free, though not intended for hot or carbonated drinks, and comes presented in a natural gift box with SPICE branding. Handwashing is recommended to preserve branding.

Branding Options
Laser engraving burns your design into the bamboo lid, leaving a permanent darker mark in the grain. Fine detail can be harder to hold on the natural grain. The engraving area is a 35mm circle.
Imitation etch uses a special ink to produce an etch-like frosted finish on the glass, at a much lower cost than real etching, and it prints over curved surfaces. Halftones cannot be reproduced consistently, so artwork is best supplied as solid shapes and clear text in vector format with fonts converted to outlines. The branding area is 40mm x 30mm. The ink requires a curing period before the bottles can ship.
Pad print covers the same 40mm x 30mm area and holds finer detail, down to about 0.4mm and text down to around 5pt. It prints up to four spot colours, each mixed to your PMS and each carrying its own setup. A silicone pad presses the design onto the glass, flexing to the curve so the artwork does not distort. Artwork should be vector with fonts converted to outlines.
