Description
The Somerset Notebook and Pen Gift Set pairs an A5 hard cover cork notebook with a cork barrel ballpoint pen, both presented in a natural kraft gift box. The notebook features case binding, 80 lined 70gsm cream pages (160 pages) and rounded page edges.
The notebook has a black elastic closure band and bookmark ribbon, and the pen features a cork barrel with black trim and 1000m of black Dokumental ink. Both the notebook cover and pen barrel are natural cork, giving the set a consistent material throughout. Five branding options are available on the notebook and pen. An optional full-colour paper belly band is also available.

Branding Options
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer artwork onto the notebook cover. Suitable for sharp logos and text on smaller branding areas. Notebook branding areas are 55mm x 55mm or 65mm x 35mm. Each colour requires its own setup charge and variable data is not available. PMS matching can be less predictable on natural cork than on a smooth cover.
Screen printing forces ink through a fine mesh screen directly onto the notebook cover. Suitable for simple logos, text and bold spot-colour artwork, and not recommended for gradients, photos or full-colour designs. One-colour branding only. Notebook branding area is 120mm x 190mm on the front cover.
Laser engraving permanently engraves artwork into the notebook cover or pen barrel using a laser. On cork, the laser burns into the natural surface, creating a distinctive darker impression against the cork grain. The pen engraving produces a natural etch finish. Notebook branding area is 100mm x 100mm. Pen branding area is 60mm x 7mm at positions D and E.
Direct Digital prints artwork directly onto the notebook cover or pen barrel and is suitable for full-colour logos, fine detail, gradients and closely matched spot colour branding. Only one setup charge regardless of print colours. Notebook branding area is 120mm x 190mm. Pen branding area is 60mm x 7mm at positions D and E. Metallic, neon and fluorescent colours cannot be reproduced.
Digital Packaging Print provides full-colour branding on the notebook cover and is suitable for logos, images, illustrations and gradients. Artwork can be supplied in vector or bitmap format. Supplied bitmaps must be higher than 300DPI resolution at the actual print size. Metallic, neon and fluorescent colours cannot be reproduced. Notebook branding area is 120mm x 190mm.
Optional Full-Colour Belly Band
An optional paper belly band is available for this notebook and wraps around the front and back cover. It gives you an extra branding area for campaign artwork, event messaging, sponsor logos, recipient details or a gift-style presentation while keeping the notebook cover branding simple.
Belly Band Digital Print
The belly band is printed in full colour using Digital Print, a CMYK print method used for paper media. It is ideal for complex images, illustrations, gradients and colourful brand artwork, with only one setup charge required regardless of the number of print colours. Individual names can also be added to the belly band at an additional charge, making it useful for personalised notebooks, event packs or client gifts.
Belly Band Artwork Requirements
Artwork can be supplied in vector or bitmap format. Bitmap artwork should be over 300DPI at actual print size, and a 3mm bleed should be added when the artwork runs off the edge of the belly band. Metallic, neon and fluorescent colours are not available, and dark stock should be avoided because white ink cannot be printed underneath the artwork.
