Branding Options
Pad print transfers ink onto the mug using a silicone pad lifted from a laser etched plate. It handles the rounded surface well and reproduces sharp logos and clean text with detail as fine as 0.4mm. On the white mug close PMS colour matches are achievable, while a design on the black mug prints best with a white under base. Several spot colours can be printed in tight register, each with its own setup charge. The branding area is 45mm x 20mm on one side of the mug.
Ceramic and Glaze
The Nectar is made from ceramic with a matte glaze on the outer and a gloss glaze on the inner, so the surface is soft and non-reflective in the hand while the inside stays smooth and easy to clean. Its rounded shape curves in towards a flat base, which keeps the mug steady on a surface and gives it a full, comfortable feel in the hand. The matte outer resists fingerprints, and at 400ml it holds a generous mugful of coffee or tea. It comes in white or black, each with a matching gloss inner and a curved handle that tucks close to the mug.
Care and Longevity
Handwashing is recommended to protect both the print and the glaze. Repeated dishwasher cycles expose a pad printed mug to high heat, harsh detergents and the force of the water jets, which over time can cause the ink to fade, crack or lift, and can dull the matte outer. Washing by hand with warm water and a mild detergent keeps the branding sharp and preserves both the matte and gloss finishes. This option is well suited to detailed artwork, gradients, patterns, campaign graphics and personalised branding. Sleeves are printed edge to edge, allowing the full wrap area to be customised without changing the gift box itself.
Variable Data Option
For an additional cost, gift box wraps can also be personalised with individual names or variable data. Personalised sleeves are useful for staff onboarding packs, client gifts, conferences and event merchandise where individual presentation is required. A personalisation surcharge applies per line.
Artwork Requirements
Artwork can be supplied in editable vector format or as high-resolution bitmap artwork. Supplied bitmap files should be over 300DPI at the actual print size, and a 3mm bleed should be added where artwork runs to the edge of the sleeve.
