The Starion Pen features a brass barrel with a matte finish and silver accents. It has a heavier construction than standard aluminium pens, giving it a more substantial build. A black stylus is positioned at the top end for use with compatible touchscreen devices. The pen is supplied with black ink and has a 2.1 kilometre writing distance. Mirror laser engraving is available on the upper barrel, revealing a reflective finish beneath the surface. Pad print branding can be applied to either the upper or lower barrel.

Mirror laser engraving is a permanent branding method that removes the barrel coating to reveal a reflective finish beneath. On the Starion Pen, mirror laser engraving is available on the upper barrel with a maximum branding area of 35 x 6mm. This method suits clean logos, names and simple line artwork where the mirror finish can show clearly. It does not reproduce colour.
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer ink from an etched plate onto the pen surface. On this pen, pad print branding is available on the upper barrel with a maximum branding area of 35 x 6mm, or on the lower barrel with a maximum branding area of 35 x 6mm. This method is suited to solid colour logos and text, but it is not suited to photographic artwork or full-colour gradients.
