Panama Pen
Description
Panama is a popular metal pen in New Zealand, with a barrel and grip made from recycled aluminium, finished in a gloss anodised colour with shiny chrome trim at the clip and tip. Inside, a Parker-style refill carries 1200 metres of blue or black Dokumental ink, manufactured in Germany, feeding a 1mm nib through a tungsten carbide ball. Panama is part of the Impact Aware collection, built from recycled materials.
Panama can be branded with a single colour screen print, pad print or laser engraving with an oxidised white finish. An optional velvet sleeve is available for a more finished presentation.

Branding Options
Screen Print
Screen printing applies a single colour of ink through a fine mesh stencil, giving a solid opaque finish. It is not suited to gradients, photos or full colour designs. Each additional colour requires its own setup charge. On Panama, screen printing is applied in Position A, with a branding area of 45mm x 12mm.
Pad Print
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer artwork onto the barrel's curved surface. Each colour requires its own setup charge, and variable data is not available. The anodised barrel gives a smooth, even surface for the transfer. On Panama, pad printing is applied across Positions D and E, with a branding area of 50mm x 7mm.
Laser Engraving
Laser engraving on Panama produces an oxidised white finish. The engraving is permanent, it will not fade or peel. Fine detail can be harder to reproduce on Panama's curved barrel, so simpler logos and text reproduce most reliably. It is applied across Positions D and E, with a recommended branding area of 50mm x 7mm.
Materials and Construction
Panama's barrel and grip are made from recycled aluminium, finished with a gloss anodised coating in a range of colours. The clip is iron, and the tip and end cap are ABS. The ball is tungsten carbide, chosen for smooth, reliable writing over the full 1200 metres of ink. The refill is a Parker-style plastic cartridge, easily replaced once used. Panama measures 136mm long including the clip, and 12.5mm wide, a standard size for everyday carry in a bag or pocket.
Presentation
Panama can be packed loose or presented in an optional velvet pen sleeve, giving a more finished look for gifting or events. The sleeve is offered as an add-on rather than standard packaging, so confirm at order stage if it is required.

Impact Aware
Impact Aware highlights products selected for a lower-impact profile. Each item in the range meets at least one of three criteria: using recycled inputs, drawing on natural materials, or partnering with brands that return value to people or the planet. You'll also see an Impact Aware icon on the main product image, making it easy to spot eligible items at a glance.
Made with Recycled Materials
These products repurpose existing resources, such as recycled plastics, paper, fabric, or metals, to reduce demand for virgin material and extend the life of what already exists. Examples across the range include RPET and recycled stainless components, as noted on individual product pages.
Made with Natural Materials
Items in this pillar prioritise renewable inputs like cotton, jute, bamboo, or paper. They're chosen for everyday practicality while leaning on materials that come from nature and can be renewed. Product specs identify the natural material used for each item.
