On the Napier Pen (Black Edition), engraving is positioned on the barrel with a maximum branding area of 50 x 6mm. The result is a precise silver-toned mark against the matte barrel finish. This method is best suited to logos, text, and fine line artwork, but it does not reproduce colour.
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer ink from an etched plate onto the product surface. On this pen, pad print branding is available on the barrel with a maximum branding area of 50 x 7mm. It can also be applied to an optional pen sleeve with a maximum branding size of 55 x 20mm. Pad printing is suited to solid colour logos and text, although gradients, photographic artwork, and very large branding areas are not suited to this method.
