Branding Methods
Laser engraving is a permanent branding method that removes the barrel surface using a laser. On the Hamilton Pen, laser engraving is available with a maximum branding area of 45 x 5mm. The result appears as a metal-toned mark against the coloured barrel. This method is suited to logos, names and fine line artwork, but it does not reproduce colour.
Digital print applies artwork directly to the barrel surface and allows full-colour branding within the confirmed print area. On this pen, digital print is available with a maximum branding area of 45 x 6mm. This method is suited to colourful logos, fine detail and artwork with colour variation. The narrow print height means very small text may need to be simplified.
Pad printing uses a silicone pad to transfer ink from an etched plate onto the product surface. On the Hamilton Pen, pad print branding is available on the barrel with a maximum branding area of 45 x 7mm. Pad print can also be applied to a pen sleeve with a maximum branding area of 55 x 20mm. This method is suited to solid colour logos and text, but it is not suited to photographic artwork or full-colour gradients.
Design Features
The Hamilton Pen has a crosshatch patterned grip section that creates a visible textured feature on the lower barrel. The silver rings beside the grip separate it from the main barrel, while the curved clip and segmented upper trim give the pen a more detailed profile than plain straight-barrel pens.
